Helping You Heal with
Compassion, Clarity, and Care
I’m glad you’re here. I’m a licensed psychologist with over 12 years of experience in private practice, providing psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Spanish/English medical interpreter, which deeply shaped my culturally responsive and inclusive approach to care.
I completed my Master’s in 2012 and started private practice in 2013. Around 2014, I also worked at Marha’s Lab. I am also part of the Parenting Evaluation Therapy Program (PETP) with Dr. Andrew Benjamin, JD.
In 2022, I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and I have been in Private Practice for most of that but I did spend a year working at Dr. Marsha Linehans lab at the University of Washington in her research, I worked and did my master’s internship at Navos Community Mental Health. As a doctorate candidate, I did my internship with a brilliant Neuro Forensic Psychologist who has taught me so much about forensic and neuropsychology. My practice is rooted in collaboration, expertise, and a shared commitment to serving diverse communities.
I offer a broad range of psychological services, with a particular focus on comprehensive assessments, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), parenting evaluations, and forensic evaluations. My goal is to provide clear, compassionate, and evidence-based guidance that supports individuals and families in understanding themselves and navigating life’s challenges.
Whether you’re seeking therapy, an evaluation, or simply exploring your options, I am here to support you.
Our Services
Your Path to Clarity and Emotional Wellness
Individual
Therapy
Individual therapy offers a private, supportive space to work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or personal growth. Our licensed therapists tailor each session to your unique goals using evidence-based approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Whether you're facing a life transition or looking for emotional clarity, we help you build resilience and find lasting change through compassionate support.
ADHD/ASD
Evaluations
We provide comprehensive evaluations for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children, teens, and adults. Our process includes clinical interviews, behavioral assessments, and standardized testing tools to ensure an accurate diagnosis. Early and correct identification leads to more effective treatment planning. Whether you're concerned about attention challenges or social development, we’re here to guide you with clarity and care.
Forensic Evaluations/Court Mental Health Evaluations
Forensic psychological evaluations are conducted for legal purposes, including court cases involving mental health, competency, or risk assessments. Our licensed clinicians provide objective, evidence-based evaluations tailored to meet the needs of attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals. We offer expert analysis, clear documentation, and courtroom-ready reports. Confidentiality and professional ethics are upheld at all times.
Parenting Evaluations
Parenting evaluations provide in-depth assessments of parenting capacity and family dynamics. These evaluations are often used in custody cases or court proceedings to support decisions in the best interest of the child. Our licensed clinicians conduct comprehensive interviews, behavioral observations, and psychological testing as needed. We provide clear, professional reports that meet legal standards. Compassion and objectivity guide every step of the process.
Co-parent Psychotherapy
Co-parent psychotherapy helps separated or divorced parents improve communication and cooperation for the benefit of their child. In a neutral, therapeutic setting, both parents learn skills to manage conflict, set healthy boundaries, and support their child's emotional needs. This service is especially helpful in high-conflict situations or court-ordered agreements. We focus on fostering respectful co-parenting relationships that prioritize your child’s well-being.

Common Questions About Our Practice
Frequently Asked Questions
I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to provide therapy and psychological services fluently in both languages. This linguistic ability enhances my capacity to connect with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and ensures that language is never a barrier to receiving high-quality, compassionate care. Being bilingual also enables me to offer culturally sensitive support, helping clients feel understood and respected in their native language.
Dr. Cabrera primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as the foundation of her clinical work, drawing on its evidence-based techniques to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. She has also learned Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which she integrates as needed to support clients in developing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
Her overarching therapeutic orientation is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), emphasizing clients’ strengths, resources, and future-oriented goals. This approach allows her to work collaboratively with clients to identify practical strategies and achievable steps toward meaningful change. Dr. Cabrera’s style is active, goal-directed, and empowering—designed to foster resilience and promote lasting personal growth.
Yes, I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy sessions to ensure client confidentiality and convenience. These online sessions are conducted through encrypted platforms that meet all federal privacy and security standards, allowing clients to access high-quality mental health care from the comfort of their own homes. This flexible option is ideal for individuals with busy schedules, mobility challenges, or those who prefer the privacy and accessibility of remote services.
For clients using insurance, therapy sessions are typically scheduled for 45 to 50 minutes, in accordance with standard billing and coverage guidelines. If you are choosing to self-pay, there is greater flexibility in session length. We can discuss your individual needs and determine whether extended sessions would be beneficial, and tailor the duration accordingly. This allows for a more personalized approach to care, ensuring you receive the time and support that best suits your goals.
My therapeutic approach is centered on gently yet effectively challenging negative thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or unhelpful behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and understand cognitive distortions—those automatic, often unconscious thoughts that can skew perception and impact decision-making. Through this process, I help clients develop greater self-awareness and insight, empowering them to explore healthier perspectives and discover solutions that align with their values and goals. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore challenges and build lasting strategies for personal growth and resilience.
Dr. Cabrera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Seattle University, which she earned in 2004. Her early academic focus on the justice system laid a strong foundation for her understanding of the intersection between mental health and legal frameworks.
In 2012, she completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, where she deepened her clinical knowledge and began her formal training as a mental health professional.
All evaluations begin with a comprehensive intake appointment, which allows me to gather essential background information and gain a deeper understanding of your specific concerns, goals, and the purpose of the evaluation. This initial session is crucial for tailoring the assessment process to meet your individual needs and to ensure that the evaluation aligns with its intended objectives—whether clinical, legal, educational, or otherwise.
